Adalvo looking to create a buzz following its launch

Global pharmaceutical companies Alvogen and Alvotech have introduced a new corporate identity for its B2B operations – called Adalvo – following rapid growth in this area of business in the past few years.

In 2019 alone, the Adalvo team signed more than 100 licensing contracts with global partners in over 60 markets. The introduction of the new identity – Adalvo – is designed to further support this dynamic growth.

The brand name is the blend of two Latin words: ‘Ad’ and ‘Alvo’. Ad means ‘towards’ in Latin, while Alvo means ‘target’ or ‘goal’, and also forms the root of Alvogen and sister company Alvotech.

Alvo also means ‘outstanding’ or ‘awesome’. This reflects the companies’ deep-rooted commitment to the supreme quality of their products and services.

The bees of the industry

Adalvo’s values are Smart Networking, Relentless customer focus, and always being on Target in all of its services. We know that our customers like to be bigger, better and smarter in the dynamic pharmaceutical sector. That’s why our approach is unique, customized and challenges the status quo that helps our partners achieve their business goals.

The company’s declared purpose reinforces that of Alvogen and Alvotech: “To make a difference for patients around the world driven by our smart collaboration network and commitment to deliver the highest quality products and services to our partners.”

Anil Okay, the General Manager of Adalvo commented on how the company wants to be the “bees of the pharmaceutical B2B world.”

Anil added: “They say bees are the most industrious insects on the planet, so when it came to our B2B business they seemed like the ideal metaphor. Adalvo and bees actually have an awful lot in common. For a start, they believe in tireless teamwork and devote their lives to the benefit of the greater good.

“Not only do they produce honey, they play an essential role in our ecosystem since 84 per cent of all crops grown for human consumption are fertilized by bees. That’s all thanks to pollination, of course, and as a successful Bee-2-Bee business, we plan to thrive in the exact same way.”

Adalvo is already looking for new partners, with the goal of creating a “buzz in the industry.”
